Here is one of The Omni's staff's favorite wedding stories:

Andra Anglin married Chase Pennington on June 9, 2012 under sparkling chandeliers in a candle lit setting at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. The ceremony was designed by the Arrangement. The ceremony was officiated by Bill Paxton, the grooms’ childhood pastor. Andra is the daughter of Charles and Aprile Anglin of Midland. Chase is the son of Lee and Darlene Pennington of Springtown.

The wedding ceremony was coordinated by Jordan Payne Events. Andra’s “something borrowed” was her sister’s tennis bracelet the she too wore on her wedding day. Her “something blue” was a sapphire ring that Andra’s father gave her mother when they found out they were pregnant with her. As her father walked her down the aisle, Andra carried a bouquet full of white peonies wrapped in black and white rhinestones.

A cocktail hour followed the ceremony in the Texas Foyer of the Omni Fort Worth where a five string quartet entertained the guests. Hor d’oeuvres were butler passed and a tasty signature drink containing a black and white striped straw with a tag reading “cheers!” was enjoyed by all. Andra re-calls one of her favorite moments of the night happened at this time. Andra and Chase were ushered to a room to be alone for the first time that day right after taking pictures post-ceremony. This room had a small table with all the hor d’oeuvres from cocktail hour and the wedding’s signature drink for the couple. The two were then given the room to themselves to take a breath and share a special moment.

The night continued with the wedding reception in the Fort Worth Ballroom of the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. The tables were covered in bold black and white stripe linen, and embellished with beautiful centerpieces. The cakes, made by Bronwen Weber of Frosted Art, were custom made to fit the bride and groom’s personalities. The bride’s cake stood 7 tiers tall complete with ruffles and an abundance of “bling” and the grooms cake represented his career as a firefighter.

The bride and groom shared their first dance to the song “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz. Family friend and artist Rolando Diaz captured his interpretation of the couple’s love and union in a breathtaking painting that was painted live at the reception and given to the couple. Andra and her father had a tearful father/daughter dance to Steven Curtis Chapman’s, “Cinderella” and Chase and his mother danced to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts. After all the wedding traditions were complete, Andra changed into a short, feathery, white dress to dance the night away. Guests enjoyed entertainment from the band Limelight and wedding favors from PicFlips..

The night came to an end with the guests throwing streamers as the couple ran down the hotel’s front drive to their Rolls Royce provided by Blue Diamond Limos. The couple had an unforgettable exit; as they began to drive away silver fountain fireworks, provided by Illumination Fireworks, followed the cars path down the drive.

 What a beautiful story!
